In Uganda this week it’s been a little quiet because there’s no students here. I took that time to revisit the yearly goals I set from myself. Where I look at who I want to become and see how I’m doing to achieve that. I do this every 6 months, and I did that this week. I’m going to make some adjustments again so that at the end of my life I can be who I want to be.
I coordinated getting the sign installed for the church on Friday. That’s something we talked about at a leadership podcast, about opportunities we might be missing to draw in people who are driving on the new road. Thank you to everyone who helped and donated to make this possible.
I now have another project. Curriculum was donated to the church and I want to install the projector in that second classroom so those Sunday school kids can use it. But, I don’t have the money to do this. It’s going to be about $200 US dollars to get that done. Please pray and see if God would have you be involved in this. I would also love to get another projector and get it installed in the other room that is used for Sunday school. So that all the classes could use that curriculum if they wanted. Please pray about this and if you want to donate, I would love to partner with you in that way.
Also this week, because it’s quiet, I worked on getting the next school year planned for the School of Ministry and Worship at Called Christians. We got flyers done for the interview process and we’re going to head to four different locations around Uganda to interview in a couple weeks. Please keep that trip covered in prayer for us.
I’ve also been prepping for teaching and administering and I’m really trying to get the accounting done for this whole year. Hopefully soon, ha!, please pray for me I could get that taken care of.
Finally, today is actually a holiday in Uganda, it’s Heroes Day. This is from the Ugandan Bush War from 1981 to 1986. Idi Amin was overthrown by Milton Obote in the late 70s. The people were not happy with his regime. The current president, Yoweri Museveni, formed the NRA (National Resistance Army) to overthrow Obote so the people wouldn’t have to live under a dictatorship. The day honors the people who died during that war so Uganda could be free. So, Heroes Day is today.
Thank you all for praying and coming on this journey with me.
